KitchenAid pro mixer- An overview – 600 Vs 6000 HD

powerful food processor, powerful food processor reviewsThe KitchenAid 6 qt mixer comes in two models the 600 and the 6000 HD. The main difference between the Kitchenaid 600 mixer and the Kitchenaid 6000 HD is the 600 is a 1HP 375watt DC motor and the 600 is 575 watts AC motor – you can check more differences here – but the main one is that the 6000 just has a few more shiny spots.

There was chrome added to the speed control and a few other parts and they also made the bowl look a bit nicer. The Kitchenaid 6000 model was also exclusively made for certain chain stores.

The Kitcheaid mixer 600 and the kitchenaid 6000 HD differentiate themselves from others on the market as mixers that are powerful enough to effectively work with heavy and dense mixtures.

The KitchenAid Pro works well in situations where most other domestic grade mixers either give up, or give poor results. It can be used for effectively kneading, mixing, or whipping a wide variety of food mixtures. Whether you want to use it to prepare pizza dough, cake mix, or just whip up a tray of cookies, this thing is as easy as pressing the “on”button.

The best thing about the KitchenAid 6 qt mixer is its versatility. It comes with a Powerknead™ Spiral Dough Hook, Stainless Steel Wire Whip, and flat beater.

This is not all; you can fit numerous optional attachments such as pasta makers, grinders, and others to its power hub to get the most out of this mixer.

Cons

kitchen food processor, kitchen food processor reviewsMany people who have used KitchenAid 6 qt mixer find it a bit loud. Some reviewers claim that it even at lower speeds it generates too much noise. We say – eat some cement and harden up – this is hardly a downside. Turn the kitchen music up and get back to work.

Another downside to this mixer is that the attachments are not dishwasher safe, so you have to wash them separately. Also, if you have a small kitchen or live in a studio – unless you REALLY love baking – this might not be for you.

Bottom line

The KitchenAid pro mixer is a great product for both professionals and home cooks. It can be used for kneading, mixing, and whipping all kinds of mixtures including anything heavy and dense. It is ideal for mixing large quantities of ingredients.

It has earned positive reviews on almost all online stores including Amazon. Considering the good reviews, and all the great features, it gets two big thumbs up from us. You can find both the Kitchenaid 6000 HD and the Kitchenaid Mixer 600 on Amazon.

  1. I was wondering if all of the attachments for the 600 pro work on the 6000 HD. I have read, that because the 6000s were made exclusively, they also can’t use the same attachments. I just want to know whether that is true. Thank you!

Hmm – Good Question ! And to be completely honest – I am not sure. Best thing would be to contact Kitchen Aid directly and ask them.
